Life

He studied at the Moscow State Conservatory (1980–1985).

A. Latif-Zade is a permanent participant of the International Musical Festivals and International Silk Road Project Inc. initiated by internationally acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma. (USA) (2000).

He actively collaborates with musicians, conductors and musical collectives worldwide. Latif-Zade composes music of different genres and styles. In his last compositions the composer tries to create a new style in music that is the synthesis of East–Western, jazz and classical music.

The composer’s special aspiration is to assist the process of rapprochement of the people professing different religions (like he does, for example, in his trio “Cross and Crescent“, the poem “Apocalypse”, the octet “Circles of time”, “Tolerance”, “Heaven’s Voice”).

Countries with copmpositions performed: USA, Central Asia, Russia, Austria, England, Chair, Poland, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, France, Norway, Spain, South Korea, Australia, Japan, Luxembourg, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Moldova.

Member of International Royal Academy (2007), ASCAP, NACUSA, Russian Composers Union.
