Working with movie, installation, theatre, danse, electronics and acoustic instruments, Kolp’s compositions develop limits-theory between sound and performance.

His method is built like a game with rules, time and space obligations, combinaisons strategy and cheatings. forbidden to be lucky, indeed.

Biography

Born in Germany, student of Denisov and Donatoni, Pierre Kolp is living in Brussels since 1994.

Master in musicology and in Organ, he is director of the Institut Dalcroze de Belgique and President of the Belgian Music Schools Society (French Part).

Founder and member of Black Jackets Company (International Society for Contemporary Arts) and Kinespace Center (Inter-media space and music Center).
