Life

Romualds Kalsons studied composition at the Conservatoire (from 1990 called Latvian Academy of Music) with prof. Ā. Skulte and orchestral conducting with J. Lindberg. He worked at the J. Vītols Latvian Academy of Music as Professor (1988). He is Head of the Composition Department (from 1990), National Professor (1999), and Composers’ Union Vice Chairman (from 1999).
