Biography
Johann Gottlieb Janitsch graduated from the University of Frankfurt an der Oder. He held several posts at the Prussian court, including personal musician to Frederick The Great . After his death his manuscripts were deeded to the Singakadamie in Berlin, which was plundered in World War II. There are rumours that some manuscripts have been found in the Ukraine. What is known is that he wrote sonatas for harpsichord and organ.
