Life
Christian Frederik Emil Horneman was the son of the composer Johan Ole Emil Horneman. He studied at the Leipzig Conservatory, where he also met Grieg. They became lifelong frineds.
With his own publishing company he published many popular arrangements, partly under pseudonyms. He also composed original works.
