Rahilja Hasanova studied with Mirza-Zade and Karaev. Among her works are:

• 3 symphonies for small orchestra (1977, 1980, 1983)
• String Quartets (1974, 1992, 1995, 1997)
• opera: Javidi Destakh (2001)
• Symphony for organ (Mountain, 1995)
• Illusion (8 celli & 4 contrabasses, 2007)
• Tetraksis (string orch, 2004)
