Music for organ includes: Sonata No. 1 in C sharp minor Op. 5, Dithyramb Op. 7, Paean Op. 15 No. 3 and Capriccio Op. 16 Music for choir includes: Services in A flat and his great anthem ‘O how glorious is the kingdom’ for All Saints Day.

Biography

Educated at Charterhouse and Trinity College, Oxford. Studies at the Leipzig Conservatorium. 1883 appointed organist St. Barnabas, Pimlico, London. In 1887 he became organist of Ely Cathedral and in 1892 Organist of Christchurch, Oxford until 1909.
