Life

ASCAP composer with over 100 works, mostly for small ensembles and for voices. Composition studies with Benjamin Hey, Robert Nagel and George Walker, the first Afro-American composer to be awarded a Pulitzer Prize. Award-winning compositions included: “Creator God, We Give You Thanks,” a hymn for the environment; and “Peace” an anti-war song. Both of these pieces are available on these CDs:
