Life

Composer Richard Hall was also a teacher. Amongst his pupils where Arthur Butterworth, Harrison Birtwistle, Alexander Goehr, John Ogden and Peter Maxwell Davies.

He was ordained as an Anglican priest in 1926, and in 1959 as a Catholic priest. In 1965 he became a minister of the Unitarian chapel.
