Music

Very important national-romantic composer. Wrote a lot of chamber songs.

Important works on choral music and chamber music (for solo voice and piano)

Most of his production is focused on vocal repertoir (including all types of choral formation: female, male, children, mixed choirs)

The most renowned song is "Se equivocó la paloma" recorded by spanish singer Joan Manuel Serrat, became from academic composition to popular music. There´s an interesting investigation about this by Silvina Luz Mansilla (argentinian investigator).

The themes on his compositions include folklorical issues, costumes, flowers or traditional songs.
