Life
The foremost Brazilian composer after Villa-Lobos. He gave a moderate modernist tint to Amazonian tunes in many orchestral exuberances and seven violin sonatas.
His complete name is "Mozart Camargo Guarnieri" (his father gave famous composer’s names to all his sons).
Marion Verhaalen writes:
My new book on Guarnieri just came out from Indiana U. Press, January, 2005. Order: iuporder
