Music

Goldberg was a brilliant harpsichordist, pupil of Johann Sebastian Bach. The latter wrote his Goldberg Variations for Johann Gotlieb, apparently so he could play them late at night to cure him from his sleeplesness. Many poeple now doubt the correctness of this anecdote.
