Life

Joaquim Pedro Galvão Born in Portimão in 1967. Started his musical studies at the Academia dos Amadores de Música, where he finisshed the Curso Geral de Composição in Maestro Lopes-Graça’s class. After that, Joaquim Pedro Galvão proceded his studies at the Conservatório Nacional in Professour Katherine Rawdon’s class, and in 1995 he finished the "Curso Superior de Flauta" at the Escola superior de Música de Lisboa in Professor A. Primgshime’s class. Studied composition im Lisbon with Lopes-Garça As a Composer devoted him self to Chamber and choral music. With his brother Paulo GalVão founded in 1999 the label Musicália.
