other stage works, 3 symphonies, overtures, symphonic poems, various chamber
music pieces, many with the piano (350 ‘pieces’), songs, vocal duets.
Biography
Studied in Leipzig, and later in Paris and Mannheim. Taught in Poland and in
1874 returned to Czechia, where he retired to devote himself to composing.
