Music



He wrote over 600 works, of various kinds: about 10 operas or other stage works, 3 symphonies, overtures, symphonic poems, various chamber music pieces, many with the piano (350 ‘pieces’), songs, vocal duets.

Life

Studied in Leipzig, and later in Paris and Mannheim. Taught in Poland and in 1874 returned to Czechia, where he retired to devote himself to composing.
