Not much biographical information Leó Festetics is available.

• He was a count and titled as Gróf Festetics Leo [N.B. in Hungary, as with Korea, the citizen presents himself by giving his surname *first* followed by his given name: hence, Bartók Béla.]
• He was instrumental in helping the young Liszt become more noticed as a performer (and to some degree as a composer).

Alexander Kubinyi <akubinyidodo.com.au> writes: Count Leó Festetics was married twice. His first wife was Baroness Borbala (Barbara) Kray and his second wife was Countess Krisztina Kubinyi, one of my ancestors. Leó and Krisztina were married on 23 September, 1867 and they stayed together for 17 years until the death of Leó on 15 November, 1884. They had one daughter, the Countess Leontina Festetics.
