Compsed many songs (villancico) for his own plays.

Life

Poet, playwright and composer. Studied at Salamanca University. Entered service of Duke of Alba at Toledo. Archdeacon of Málaga in 1509. Went to Rome in 1514 and to the Holy Land in 1519. Became prior of Léon.
