- Czech composer Petr Eben dies in Prague
(26 October 2007)Last Wednesday, 24 October, composer Peter Eben died in his house in Prague. His compositions — he created over 200 — have been performed all over the world. He also often played his own music on piano or organ.
In 1991 Eben became Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in France, and in 2002 he received a high Czech decoration, the Medal of Merit.
