In November 1995, the feature length film "Toy Story" was released as a joint venture between Pixar Animation and Walt Disney Studios. Until 1999, when "Toy Story 2" was released, "Toy Story" was the third most successful animated film at the box office. This sketchbook contains: sketches and background studies done in preparation for the film's release. "Toy Story: The Sketchbook Series" collector's edition is limited to 2,500 copies, with each book containing a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Life

Jack Curtis Dubowsky is an active composer, conductor, writer, and educator.

Jack has composed three chamber operas and scored four feature films, including That Man: Peter Berlin, Rock Haven, and Under One Roof. Dubowsky’s choral music has been performed internationally by groups including the San Francisco Choral Artists, the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco, and the Mount Eden Chorus. His orchestral music has been performed by the Castro Valley Chamber Orchestra. His chamber music has been performed by the Snopea Chamber Ensemble, the Organic Sound Experiment, Collaborata, the Paradigm Brass, and the Jack Curtis Dubowsky Ensemble.

Jack has received grants from Meet the Composer, Inc., the Zellerbach Family Fund, and the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library. Jack has produced recordings by The Winsome Griffles, Glen Meadmore, and the Virgin Whore Complex. His award winning "Mr Jones" parody is a highlight of the Momus album Stars Forever.

Jack received his MM in Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and studied at the Aspen School. Jack studied conducting with Sonja Neblett, and composition with David Conte, Conrad Susa, Elinor Armer, and Michael Czajkowski.

He writes for Film International and teaches at Film Arts Foundation and NYU. His albums are available on Movie Score Media, CDBaby, Rhapsody, and iTunes. Films he has scored are available on Netflix.
