Biography

Joseph Dorfman was a new music composer, concert pianist, and scholar of Shostakovich. He graduated from the Odessa Conservatory in 1965, left for Moscow in 1966 (where he did his doctoral dissertation on Hindemith at the Gnessin Institute) and moved to Israel in 1973.
