Life

Elliott Carter won the Pulitzer Price twice: for his String Quartet No. 2 and for his String Quartet No. 3. He is also interviewed by Richard Dufallo in "Trackings" at Carter’s home in Waccabuc New York.

Elliott Carter studied in Paris, France with Nadia Boulanger like Aaron Copland and many other composers. He even attendended the Darmstadt School with Stockhausen, Boulez, Earle Brown, John Cage, Peter Maxwell Davies, Peter Schat, and many others. Dufallo has conducted many peices of Carter’s at the Aspen Music Fesitval and other places. (Contribution by <dbaca(at)mail.twu.edu>.)
