As well as many works in the the fields of piano en chamber music as well as a large number of works with solo voice and choirs.

Three from his compositions are to be found on the CD Bongiovanni GB 5022-2: Largo, Ouverture in F, Visione di San Martino.

Biography

He took up musical education when he was 16 and graduated four years later at the Music School in his home town. He then entered the School of High Composition run by Ildebrando Pizzetti in Florence, having his diplome in 1922. From 1927 he lived for three years in Milan, the most important in his artistic life.

In 1937 after winning a competition for the post of director at the Music School in Lucca he leaves Milan to go to (and never leave it again) his hometown Lucca.
