Music

Bunnskog has written solo and chamber music, electroacoustic pieces as well as music for orchestras and for the stage; opera and dance. As a trained choir singer, the voice, opera and orchestral choir music is also one of his main subjects for composition.

Life

Magnus Bunnskog, born in Varberg, Sweden. Studies in composition at the Gotland School of Composition (Per Mårtensson, Sven-David Sandström, Henrik Strindberg), the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Pär Lindgren, Jesper Nordin) and the CNSMD de Lyon, France (Robert Pascal, Denis Lorrain). Masterclasses for a.o. Salvatore Sciarrino at the Acanthes summer academy in Metz, France.

Other studies than in composition includes a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies at the University of Stockholm, and Studies at the Öland School for Writers, Sweden. He has also been professionally active as a theatre worker, touring with a swedish theatre group, and is currently writing texts and articles for different magazines in Sweden.
