Music

He received his early training from his father, a schoolmaster and organist, and then went on to study in Goldbach, Gotha and, finally Jena. Between 1693 and 1698 he lived in Hamburg, after which he began his long tenure of the post of organist at the Johanniskirche in Lüneburg.
