Music

Active in both the classical and corporate musical fields, Andrew’s music has been performed by artists and organisations as diverse as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the jazz musician James Morrison. Andrew has been commissioned by most major arts funding bodies in Australia, and his art music has been performed all over Australia and in the USA.

His corporate work extends from corporate launches to TV commercials, and includes the scores for several short films.

Andrew has won several major prizes for his music, including the Qantas youth award as part of the 1994 Paul Lowin Prizes, the Corbould Composition prize and commendations from the Australian Songwriter’s Association for his pop songs.

Life

After studying in Melbourne, Andrew travelled to Los Angeles and London, gaining insight from private lessons with John McCabe.

Returning to Australia, Andrew forged a profile in the commercial music industry. He is on the composition staff of the Victorian College of the Arts, and is married with four children
