Music
Daniell Batchelar’s music was represented in “Varietie of Lute Lessons”, a collection of lute pieces published in 1610 by Robert Dowland with his father John Dowland, and in Robert’s “A Musicall Banquet”, published in the same year, by “To Plead My Faith”, the only song written by him that survives. Other works by him survive only in Manuscript.

Biography
This English composer and lutenist was at court in service to Queen Anne (spouse of James I Tudor) in 1605–18. Appointed to the rank of Groom of the Privy Chamber in 1615.
The titles of some of his works suggest a connection with the wealthy and influential Sidney — and Walsingham families.
