- John Barry — “Bond” composer — dies
[posted 1 February 2011]Film music composer John Barry, who wrote the music for eleven James Bond films, including the famous Bond theme, died on Sunday in New York of a heart attack. He was 77.
Barry also wrote the music for many other well-known films. He won five Academy Awards as a composer, among others for “Born Free”, and “Dances With Wolves”.
