Biography
He studied composition in Leipzig under S. Jadassohn, and pianoforte under Carl Reinecke . On the completion of his studies he made a concert tour of France, Austria, Germany, and Italy. Later he returned to New York, where he has since remained and made for himself a reputation as a teacher and composer. His "Colonial Gavotte" is one of his best known instrumental selections.
