Life
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is the third son of J.S. Bach. First he studied music in Leipzig with his father and then studies the law before coming back to music. In 1740 he is one of the musician of Frederic the great, king of Prussia et teaches music in the "Lateinschule" and in 5 churches in Hambourg. C.Ph. Bach is considered as a master of what is called "Empfindsamkeit", wich is very common in the second half of the XVIIIth century. He composed many orchestral work for keyboard, chamber music, concertos, oratorios, 22 passions, cantatas, lieders, etc.
