Associate first horn, U.S. Army Band, Ft. Myer VA, 1962-65
Instructor in music, U. of Tampa, 1965-66
Professor of music, Northern Illinois University, 1966 - present.
Retired in 1998; still teaching one orchestration class at NIU each semester. Holds the title of Distinguished Research Professor Emeritus.
