    Biography

Daniel Anthony Baca is a local of Denton TX. Composer: growing up in Brownsville, TX. Mr. Daniel A. Baca found music to play and understand at his fingertips, only from picking up a guitar from his two friends in a barn one night or teaching himself to play the piano. Poetry, prose, all things artistic, and musical came easily to him. Once very religiously, he used to sit and just compose music until the break of dawn finishing piece by piece, unfortunately early on about 60 to 80 compositions for the guitar and its multiple ensemble classifications were stolen from Mr. Baca’s car around his birthday - January 27, 1977, same as Mozart’s - among 200 other cars in Corpus Christi, TX. on Super-Bowl Sunday!

Recently transferred the original tapes from Trackings: Composers Speak with Richard Dufallo (American conductor and Champion of Contemporary Music). Please email the composer for an article about Dufallo.

Mr. Baca has also won awards for his poetry, music, performances, art, and even Halloween costumes. He has visited Korea many times, and taught English there for three months.
