Music

Life

Born in Galicia (Spanish state) in 1978. Started his musical training at the age of 11 in Vigo at the conservatory of music, studying Harmony, Music History, Art, Analysis, Violin and chamber music. Completed his studies in composition in Madrid and at the Rotterdam conservatory with Klaas de Vries and electronic composition with Rene Uijlenhoet. During the years 2002, 2003 and 2004 he attended the Master Courses of Klaus Huber in Amsterdam, France and Basel, and he became a strong influence on Arronte’s development.

His music has been performed in Europe, Asia and USA and broadcast on Dutch, German, British, and Swiss radio. His pieces have been performed by such musicians as Les Jeunes Solistes, Nieuw Ensemble, Phoenix Ensemble, and renowned American pianist Grace Nikae.

Aitor Arronte’s music reflects a multidimensional space of historic and psychological time, in which the freedom between time and perception are explored.

Arronte is currently based in The Netherlands.
