Receive deadline: Thursday, February 14, 2008Submission criteria:
- Original composition for 4 to 6 part mixed choir; a cappella or with up to five instruments one of which may be keyboard; no electronics.
- Five to eight minutes long
- Not previously performed in Ohio or Greater Cincinnati
- Anonymous submission:
- Remove all names and identifying marks (tape and white out are acceptable)
- Include a sealed envelope with your name, address, email and phone number.
- The name of the work should be on the outside of the envelope.
- Submit a performance score.
- Recordings or realizations on CD are not mandatory but are strongly encouraged.
- Electronic submission (i.e. via email) is not permitted.
- Include in the envelope written permission to use the text. If the text is public domain include confirming information to support this.
- Do not send original scores or only copies.
- There are no restrictions with respect to race, sex, age or residency.
- The text may be in any language.
- A composer may submit only one piece.
More Details:
- The winning composition will be performed on the Cincinnati Camerata Spring Concert in May, 2008 and may be performed at other times.
- The Cincinnati Camerata reserves the right to not award a prize.
- The winning composer must provide a final score and part set by March 31, 2008. The Camerata will make up to 40 copies for use by the chorus.
- Members of the Cincinnati Camerata, Music Under Construction, and the judging panel are prohibited from entering this contest.

(9 October 2007)The Following is the Call for Works for the 60x60 project in 2008
Continuing to promote contemporary composer and their works, Vox Novus is
inviting composers to submit recorded works 60 seconds or less in length to
included in its sixth annual 60x60 project. 60 compositions will be selected
to be played continuously in a one-hour concert. The 60x60 concert season
will begin with a debut in New York City and continue throughout the world
in venues to be announced. Please submit recording(s) of work and submission
form post marked before March 31st, 2008 to:60x60
