Music

Biography

Composer working with Lully at the French court, and holding the position as harpsicordist to the King, a position where he replaced Chambonniere. His music forms a link between that of Chambonnière and the music of Couperin in the first decades of the 18th century. He made a major contribution to the evolution of French keyboard ornamentation.
