Music

Alwyn was a prolific composer of British film music, completing scores for more than 200 films. He also gained great recognition in the concert world, having written five highly regarded symphonies, three concerti grossi, concertos for various instruments, and even large-scale operas. What’s more, Alwyn was active in other creative arts and was an accomplished painter and poet. (Contribution by Dennis Siebert <dennissiebertmaximus.com>)
