Life
Apart from composer, Domenico Alberti was also a singer and harpsichordist. He was a pupil of Lotti, and gave his name to the so-called “Alberti Bass”, a typical left-hand accompaniment figure in keyboard music.
Alberti’s year of death is also given as 1746. The New Groves Dictionary of Music and Musicians gives 1740.
