Life

Son of Mateo Pérez de Albéniz. Apart from composer Pedro Albéniz was pianist and organist. He played the organ in various towns from age 13. In 1830 he became professor of pianoforte at the Madrid Conservatory. He became first organist at the Royal Chapel in 1834. He also was a teacher of Queen Isabella and Maria Luisa in 1841.
