Music

He contributed 3 pieces to the “Newe deudsche geistliche Gesenge” (1554).

Life

Martin Agricola was not only composer but also a music theorist. The most important treatise he wrote was a work on musical instruments: “Musica instrumentalis deaudsch” (1528). This work was based on Virdung’s “Musica getutsch” form 1511, but in verse.
