"Blake," opera in 4 acts. Symphony. "The Righteous Man" and "Hymn to Freedom" cantatas. "Love Expressions" and "Ode to Life" orchestral. Piano Concerto. "Prelude and Fugue" and "Offering of Love" for solo organ. "Etudes" and "Preludes" for solo piano. Sonatas for Violin, Cello, Horn. Numerous songs and choral works.
The CD, "Love Rejoices: Songs of H. Leslie Adams," (Albany Records) was named "Best Recording for Year 2001" by John Boyer, music critic, American Record Guide (Jan./Feb. 2002, p. 49). Darryl Taylor, tenor, is the soloist.
The CD, "Twelve Etudes" (Albany Records) features Maria Corley in Adams’ most recent major work for solo piano. These studies are in varying tonalities, tempos, moods, and patterns, for both the intermediate and advanced performer.
Adams received Outstanding Composer Award by National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc. at its National Convention, Renaissance Marriot, Detroit, MI, August 2, 2004.
